A Party for a Princess

Saturday night we had some friends over and had a party with our family at my mom's. This is the Princess Party Ema had been waiting for. She got to pick out the Princess Cake at Target the week before so she was very excited! She opened her gifts with such great excitement it was so neat to see. This is one just one of those times that you thank God for being a parent. Seeing the excitement in your child's eyes is one of the greatest feelings you can get as a parent. I really liked being able to have something at my parents too because it makes it that much more special since we are such a close family. A HUGE shout out to my mom who worked her butt off this weekend having food ready for every different meal and occasion that went on and for doing it with a smile on her face. We really appreciate everything you do for us!
Emalie doesn't even mind getting clothes, she loves to model them.

Kim & my mom found gift bags that looked like the Princess Castle at Disney World. Emalie thought they were just wonderful.

Kim & Katie found Barbie & Ken dolls to go in the bath tub.

Emalie got this dress from Nana, she found it at Gymboree.

(Don't you LOVE the matching hat??)

She got a hat box full of dress-up clothes...oh my more Princess stuff!

Another bag for Ema! This one holds the baby and her clothes!

Like the crown? It was part of the dress up clothes.

Here is the most special gift of all...from Nannie.

A new baby for Emmie

Emmie got the Bity Baby from the American Girl doll collection (Nana & I can't wait to take her to the store in Chicago this summer....AND we have an outlet store north of where we live in Milwaukee)

Notice the baby fits in the backpack while she wears it?!?

Mommie & her little girl...

Isn't the cake just the cutest!?!? (Yes, the Cinderella one lights up)

Make a wish Princess...
